DEEP CARE FOR TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERS

Enrollment Now Open for Fall 2023

Fellowship Dates: October 2023 - March 2024

Our 6-month Fellowship is a leadership development experience like none other! We work with DEI leaders to support them with identifying and advancing a real-time DEI project with the support of our consultants through an all-inclusive retreat (Mon Nov 6 - Fri Nov 10, 2023), virtual monthly cohort soul work, and monthly one-on-one coaching sessions.

  • “I can’t pick just one! I will say EJI was life changing. I have not been able to stop talking about it since my return. I would also say that the time for discussion and camaraderie over our meals was so valuable. I really feel that we are such a special community now and the fellowship was priceless.” - Spring 2023 Fellow

  • "The work we do is heavy and can cause us to burn the candle at both ends, lose sight of the 'why'. This retreat causes us to pause, reflect, and gain clarity while folding into ourselves for deep care, transformation and the sharpening of our focus. It is not only recommended but vital to your work as a practitioner and thought-leader" - Spring 2023 Fellow

  • “Basecamp was the most impactful and meaningful (hopefully lasting) leadership experience I have participated in during my 20+ year career. “ - Spring 2023 Fellow

DEI Leaders Have Many Titles

DEI leaders can be DEI Committee leaders, departmental leaders or they can be C-Suite or executive leaders. We know organizations structure these roles differently, but all DEI leaders need support in transforming their organizations.

Basecamp is a Strategic Institutional DEI Management (SIDEIM) Fellowship designed to gather, recharge, educate, and mobilize a community of Institutional DEI leaders to articulate and implement foundational best practices that shift policies and processes that impact people while navigating the unique challenges inherent in the emerging field of SIDEIM.

Learn About SIDEIM

CLARIFYING LEADERSHIP BY FOCUSING ON LEADERS

As the demand for Institutional DEI leaders continues to grow, we see that Institutional DEI leadership roles are poorly structured and DEI leaders are poorly supported.

This reality reveals and intensifies the real health impacts of the daily stressors inherent in this change management work. As a result, we see high turnover for organizations and extreme burnout for DEI leaders.

SIDEIM Basecamp provides an opportunity to support both leaders and organizations.

Meet the Founders

With over a decade of kaleidoscopic experience in the field, Brian and Theodosia Cook bring authority, creativity, and care to DEI training.

The path to the diverse, inclusive, and equitable institutions we envision is long, arduous, and steep.

We all need a place to rest, connect, and prepare for the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual challenges on the leadership journey ahead.

The Fellowship curriculum was developed to benefit leaders and institutions by providing Fellows with concepts and meaningful opportunities to apply them to a real-time DEI project. Fellows emerge having received consulting support, professional development content, and coaching that ultimately strengthens their organization’s competency around DEI management.
